Post-show report
A post-show report is the summary of an event’s cost, coverage, leads, meetings, follow-up, and pipeline that a team writes after the show to judge the event and plan the next one.
If you own the number, you build the report by hand, weeks later, from badge-scan exports, CRM pulls, and what reps remember.
What belongs in a post-show report?
- Your all-in cost.
- Coverage: the target accounts you reached, against your pre-show plan.
- Leads captured, match rate, and meetings booked.
- Follow-up: attempt rate and SLA compliance, by rep.
- Pipeline and closed-won, with event-sourced and event-influenced in separate columns.
- What your reps heard, and what to change next time.
How do you keep it honest?
Set the rules before the show and report the same table for every event. Watch for the 3 errors that keep coming back: counting badge scans as leads, reporting influenced pipeline as sourced, and missing the leads your reps worked outside the process. That last one is the attribution leak.
Where do you find it in FieldXM?
Your post-show report comes out of FieldXM reporting as it stands: leads captured, match rate, meetings booked, attempt rate, SLA compliance, pipeline, and closed-won, cut by event, rep, and team, with sourced and influenced in separate columns.
Keep your post-show reports consistent, and they add up to the event portfolio view you use to decide which shows come back next year.

- Event portfolioAn event portfolio is the full set of events a company commits to in a year, from trade shows to hosted dinners, which the company views together so it can compare results event by event and move budget to what produces.
- Attempt rateAttempt rate is the share of event leads that received at least one recorded sales follow-up attempt within the agreed window, the base measure of whether sales reps worked the leads a show produced.
- Event-sourced vs. event-influenced attributionEvent-sourced vs. event-influenced attribution is the distinction between opportunities an event created and opportunities already open that an event advanced, which teams report separately so neither number inflates the other.
- Attribution leakAn attribution leak is an event-sourced lead or opportunity that entered the CRM outside the standard capture path, so the CRM loses its connection to the event and understates the event's contribution.
- Closed-loop reportingClosed-loop reporting is reporting that ties each captured interaction to what followed it, from lead to meeting, opportunity, and closed-won revenue, so results trace back to the event or program behind them.
