Campaign association

Campaign association is the link between a person or deal in the CRM and the campaign or event object that represents a program, the connection attribution reports read to credit an event.

Your CRM usually models an event as a campaign or marketing event object. It records each person’s relationship to the event as a membership with a status, such as invited, registered, attended, or visited the booth.

Why does it matter?

Without the association, your reports can’t credit the event for a captured lead, even one with full event context. The conversation happened, the deal may close, and the event gets no credit: the same outcome as an attribution leak.

Your event-sourced and event-influenced pipeline reports depend on it, and so does every closed-loop report on an event.

Who owns the campaign?

Your CRM owner. Tie each event to a campaign your team already manages. Hold any capture your reps make outside an event for review before it joins one. A campaign a rep invents to hold a stray lead muddies every report it feeds.

Where do you find it in FieldXM?

Link each event in FieldXM to its HubSpot marketing event or Salesforce campaign. FieldXM writes event attendance to your CRM, and your reps book each booth meeting straight into it, tied to the event. The trade show ROI guide shows how records like these become sourced and influenced pipeline.
